GOING GREEN! at JCCC ~ EARTH DAY 2011

ANNOUNCEMENT
(Follow updates in Facebook)

UPDATE ~ 4/20/2011

Dear Participants in JCCC Earth Day 2011:
We’re not letting the possibility of a little (or a lot) of rain spoil the fun this Friday!  Since the latest weather forecasts are calling for rain on Friday, we’ve reserved space in the Gym for table set up, and displays that will fit into that area.  Some displays (converted electric cars/trucks, for example) will obviously still need to be placed outside the Student Center.
Attached is a .jpg image of the full campus map with locations marked for loading/unloading zones, set-up locations, and best parking locations.  Your tables will be marked with your organization’s name, or participant name.  Those participants requesting A/C power will be placed close to available outlets with extension cords, and those groups who’ve requested to be placed next to each other will be accommodated.  There will be some students present to assist you at the unloading zones between 8-10am.  The event is scheduled to begin at 10am and end at 3pm.
We’ll send one more update to you sometime Thursday night once we have the latest forecast available.  Keep your fingers crossed…while we’ll certainly be able to continue with our Earth Day plans, we’ll have a bigger impact if we’re able to be out in the commons area.
On behalf of the students who’ve been involved with the Student Environmental Alliance this semester, thank you for your willingness to participate in our event.  We’ll see you soon!
