Sustainability Expo & Dinner

September 10th, 2009

JCCC will be hosting a “Sustainability Expo & Dinner’ at the Regnier Center.  Area farmers will have booths to display information about their farms.  Some of the vendors will have product to taste.  All vendors will be available to talk and discuss the process which they go through to get the product from the field to the plate.  Most of the discussion will be about the importance of communities reverting back to sustaining their communities with local products.   This process, in return, will help our community erase the effects of our carbon foot print.  Ecco Elvis will perform right before the doors open for the dinner.  Product from the JCCC Student Farm, as well as other products from the expo vendors, will be incorporated into the five course meal.  A special documentary about “family Farm Memories” will be presented.  Cost for the dinner is $65.00 per person.

Expo:  4:00 to 7:00
